Meet Lori

Lori Flower, LPCC Therapist, RYT

Lori Flower embodies ease and warmth with 24 years experience guiding transformational practices through yoga and mindfulness. Often utilizing somatic awareness and motivational interviewing, Flower provides her clients with useful skills to face whatever issues are presenting.

Lori’s initial career began when she graduated in 1999 from SUNY Purchase and began work in the Documentary film industry. She then worked at Omega Institute for Holistic studies, completing her 200 hour Yoga teacher certification as she learned more about the origins of Ayurveda (Science of life) Eastern Philosophy and Herbalism. Lori realized that through working deeply with these modalities, she could heal trauma and shift to an open, present moment mindset. Lori trained in Reiki level 1 and 2, Thai Yoga bodywork and Acro Yoga. In 2019 Flower attended Naropa’s Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy program and received her Masters degree as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist.

Since then, she has worked for Northstar Transitions, helping people overcome addiction and with Charlie Health, supporting high risk teens and young adults, plus Boulder Prep High school -offering counseling to teens who struggle with ADHD, OCD, PTSD and anxiety. She also worked as a psychedelic integration therapist at Quantum Health. Lori is passionate about assisting clients who want to create real transformation in their lives.

From an early age, Flower witnessed people close to her with debilitating OCD and anxiety that in some cases was the root cause of severe health issues. This prompted Lori to find alternative modalities of healing body and mind. She began to share what she had learned and encouraged those seeking support to try various practices which could empower and rewire their nervous systems. Flower also discovered the potency of psychedelics from experimental use in her early 20’s. She later started therapy to integrate her experiences and recognizes the importance of having a good “set and setting” for the whole process. Lori is very happy to be a part of the team at Kairos Wellness Collective where she feels aligned with making a difference in people's lives.
